There are bunkers on every hole (fine silicone sand) and also five dams. A quick glance at the Benoni Country Club scorecard will reveal that there are 5 par-fives to contend with, all of which are more than 500 metres long. The two closing holes at this big East Rand club are both 506 metres long.
The 18th is an outstanding hole with a forest on the right of the fairway and a dam (one of five on the course) running almost the entire length of the hole on the left-hand side.
