Your Simola Golf and Country Estate Experience:
The 18-hole Simola Golf Course is the first to be designed by Jack Nicklaus on the Garden Route. Created to challenge the professional and inspire the amateur, this South African golf course is wind free and has spectacular views from every hole.
Following the natural lie of the land, Jack Nicklaus has attuned the Simola Golf Course design to flow with and enhance the beauty of the surroundings. Located high above Knysna, below the ridges, the course has the unusual configuration of five par 5’s and five par 3’s.
On a South Africa holiday, visitors can now play on this signature course, one of an elite group which is internationally recognised. Despite the sheer pleasure of the Simola Golf Course fairways, visitors will find it hard not to gaze at the views of the Knysna River, Lagoon and spectacular Heads.

Membership and competition:
Simola Golf and Country Estate have a variety of memberships on offer as well as golfing, conference or spa packages. On Friday afternoons there is a 9-hole competition which is very popular with members and visitors, Saturdays also have competitions.
Clubhouse and Hotel amenities:
The Simola Golf Clubhouse forms part of the Simola Hotel and Spa, it has spacious changing rooms, a beautifully appointed lounge and bar as well as a Pro Shop, with the latest golfing equipment and apparel.
Guests and members have access to hotel facilities which include the gourmet restaurant, indoor pool and Wellness Centre. The cigar bar offers a fine selection cigars, cognacs, whisky and liqueurs.
Tutoring:
Simola Golf and Country Estate has Professional golf tutors who can arrange lessons for beginners through to experienced players who want to improve their skill set.

The Simola Golf and Country Estate are situated on 470 hectares of forested land above the Knysna Lagoon and Heads. There are luxurious 1 and 2 bedroom self-contained suites and en-suite twin rooms, which all have magnificent views.
The 5 star Hotel has a beautiful restaurant and sushi bar, cigar bar, full service Simola Spa, Gym and Hair Salon. There is an indoor heated pool, outside pool and bar, also a children’s splash pool. High-tech conference facilities can accommodate up to 120 people. Full banqueting options are offered for functions and dinner / dances.
