In 2000, the Links at Fancourt was included in this already thriving estate. Bramble Hill was added soon after as the perfect outlet for both beginners and experienced players to hone their skills.
The Montague:
This highly celebrated golf course has been ranked the number one golf course in South Africa in the past, and is one its way to restoring its former glory. It has undergone extensive renovations with several holes been redesigned and 2 completely new holes to add to your golfing experience.
Play at this exclusive golf course is restricted to members, their guests and resort guests, ensuring space and time on the greens. This golf course features a warm up area with full length range and a chipping and bunker practice area, which is available to golfers before the game.
The Outeniqua:
This 18 hole golf course is one of the 2 world class Parkland layouts at this golf resort in South Africa. Similar in character to the Montague, the challenging design and excellent conditions of this golf course makes it one of the country's best. Ideal for all levels of golfers, Outeniqua offers a variety of tees from which to choose from.
Play at Outeniqua is limited to hotel guests, members and their guests, so you will never fell crowded or pressurized. There is a warm up area with full length range and a chipping and bunker practice area available to golfers before play.
The Links:
Often recognized as the finest piece of golf design and construction in South Africa, the Links rank among the best in the world. The Links has proudly hosted some of the most prestigious golfing events in the world, including the 2003 Presidents Cup and the Women's World Cup of Golf in 2005. In December, The Links played host the SAA Open, the second oldest national Open Championship in the world.
The Links is a private club; therefore play is limited to invited guests and members. There are limited times available for guests staying at the hotel, so book in advance.
Bramble Hill:
This is the fourth golf course at your golf resort in South Africa, and has a character of its own. This excellent course was built with the community of George in mind so there are no restrictions as to who can play at any given time.
Bramble Hill offers a relaxed and friendly golfing experience, without the intimidation of private country clubs and expert players. A course not without its challenges, Bramble Hill is ideal for all levels of experience and handicaps, and ideal for beginners.
Bramble Hill also features a modern clubhouse and a well stocked pro shop with great golf accessories and merchandise. There is also a number of on site PGA professionals on hand to give advice.
The Pro Shop:
The Pro Shop offers the widest range of golfing accessories, merchandise and attire. Fancourt offers 3 pro golf shops, one at the Montague and Outeniqua, one at the Links, and the last one at Bramble Hill. The friendly and knowledgeable staff will be happy to assist you with any queries or questions you might have. Top branded golf clubs, trolleys, golf bags and golf shoes are also available for hire in each shop.
Golf Academy:
The Golf Academy at Fancourt is an excellent facility for eager golfers wanting to learn the skill and art of this inspired game. The Academy offers full time teaching professionals who give expert advice and tuition. Situated between the Links and Bramble Hill, this Academy offers professional teachers and the latest technology and video equipment in the studio room. The teaching professional is happy to welcome groups, juniors or individual lessons.
The Taylor Made Performance Lab is able to provide golfers with Golf's Ultimate Fitting Experience, previously available only to PGA Tour professionals, the two-hour custom fitting experience is conducted in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere.
