The Arabella Golf Club is the number 2 golf course in South Africa, and the number one golf course in the Western Cape, so guests are guaranteed an exceptional and world class experience. Home to the prestigious Nelson Mandela Invitational, this golf course in South Africa is a myriad of rolling fairways, challenging bunkers and sparkling waterways.
Situated on the banks of the Bot River lagoon and nestled amongst rich indigenous fynbos, this golf course in South Africa offers a truly unique and memorable experience.
The Arabella Golf Course is featured in Golf Digest's USA Top 100 courses outside America. Designed and built by renowned golf course architect Peter Matkovitch, this classic golf course boasts fabulous views across the Bot River lagoon and the Kogelberg Mountain range.
Having recently been awarded a Five Star Golf Experience in 2002, Arabella Golf Course is home to the annual Nelson Mandela Invitational, a charity golf tournament hosting some of the top media personalities and golf legends, including Jack Nicklaus, Samuel L Jackson, Ronan Keating, Ernie Els, Retief Goosen, Tim Clark, Lee Westwood and Sam Torrance.
The Course:
This 18 hole golf course boasts 80 challenging bunkers, 8 acres of sparkling lakes and rolling green fairways. A unique feature of this course is Par view and GPS on all golf carts. Arabella Golf course is also the only golf course in South Africa that allows you to conveniently order food and drinks from your golf cart. Place your order at the ninth hole via your GPS system and it will be ready by the time you reach the Clubhouse. Practice facilities at this golf course include a driving range, practice putting greens and chipping green.

Golf School:
Learn to play this interesting and rewarding sport, or improve your skills at the estate's exclusive golf school. This school offers a wide variety of golf classes and clinics to guests of all ages, experience and handicaps. Lessons range from held and hour to one hour, and for the more specialist learners, 1, 3 and 5 day golf schools are available.
This golf school also offers holiday golf clinics for juniors and clinics for ladies between December and March. Beginner courses involve lessons on the swing and short game techniques, as well as golf etiquette.
There is also a 2 day Golf School for intermediate players, a 3 day Golf School ideal for beginners, and a 5 day Golf School which provides 4 hours of professionally structured tuition a day and covers all aspects of the game.
