Colona Castle is situated on the warm False Bay coast in the breathtaking province of the Western Cape in South Africa. This is the ideal accommodation for guests wanting to be near many of the Cape's great golf courses, but still stay in accommodation that is intimate and luxurious.
How to get there:
Directions from Cape Town International Airport:
After leaving the airport, follow the signs to the N2 in the direction of Cape Town. Continue for about 10 kilometres (6.2 miles) until the road starts to rise at the foot of Table Mountain. Turn left onto the off ramp signposted to M3 Muizenberg.
Continue on this highway for approximately 13 kilometres (8.1 miles). At the traffic lights at the top of the ramp, turn right into Westlake Drive (M42). At the first set of traffic lights, turn left in the direction of Stonehurst, and then left again at the circle. Follow the road past the Westlake Golf Course until it comes to a T-junction. Turn right into Boyes Drive.
Boyes Drive rises and travels along the mountain contour. Continue for another 3 kilometres (1.9 miles) then turn left into Old Boyes Drive. Continue down until you reach a hairpin bend. At this point, turn left and keep to the upper road, Verwood Street. Colona Castle is the first property on your left and is painted yellow.
Directions from Somerset West/Stellenbosch:
After leaving Somerset West, proceed along the N2 in the direction of Cape Town for about 6 kilometres (3.7 miles). Turn left at the junction signposted R310 Baden Powell Drive. Continue along this road, following the coast line of False Bay for approximately 25 kilometres (16 miles).
As you enter Muizenberg, cross over a traffic circle known as Sunrise Circle. The road continues through Muizenberg and under a railway bridge. Turn right at the traffic lights in the centre of Muizenberg onto Main Road (M4). This is signposted to Wynberg/City.
After leaving Muizenberg, you will find a turning to the left onto Old Boyes Drive leading into Boyes Drive (M75). At this point there is a directional sign to Colona Castle. Turn left and drive up the mountain to a sharp hairpin bend. Carry on straight and keep to the upper road, Verwood Street. Colona Castle is the first property on the left.
